Cybersecurity

A fully funded PhD position is available at the University of Huddersfield for UK applicants, focusing on AI-Driven Cybersecurity for Electric Vehicles Smart Charging Network. The project is supervised by Professor Rupak Kharel and Dr Omprakash Kaiwartya, both experts in cyber security and smart systems. This research will explore advanced artificial intelligence methods to enhance the security of smart charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, addressing emerging threats and developing robust solutions for future transportation networks. The studentship is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and covers tuition fees and a tax-free stipend starting at £20,780 for 2025/26, with increases in line with EPSRC guidelines. The duration is 3 years full-time, with an additional 12 months for writing up (unfunded). Applicants must be UK citizens and hold a First Class or Upper Second-Class Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area such as computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields.
