in the
Institute of Biochemistry
on
molecular signaling pathways in myogenesis and neuromuscular junction (NMJ) biology
, with a particular emphasis on the
Hippo pathway
.
The project aims to uncover how Hippo signaling regulates
muscle development
,
muscle regeneration
, and
NMJ integrity
. The research combines
transgenic mice
, genetic tools,
CRISPR/Cas9
screens, multi-omics, transcriptomics/proteomics, and high-resolution imaging to study signaling mechanisms relevant to neuromuscular disease, including
ALS
and
myasthenia
.
Successful applicants will carry out in vivo mouse experiments, NMJ electrophysiology, cell/tissue validation, immunohistochemistry, 3D confocal and electron microscopy, data analysis with bioinformatics tools, and scientific writing/presentations. The role is designed for a motivated PhD student interested in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, omics, and imaging-based disease research.
Eligibility:
applicants should hold an M.Sc. in molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Practical experience with mouse work is preferred; a FELASA certificate is an advantage. Additional experience in histology, qPCR, omics, imaging software (ZEN, Fiji), and statistics is requested. Strong English skills and independent research ability are expected.
