The project aims to uncover how Hippo signaling regulates muscle development, muscle regeneration, and NMJ integrity. Successful applicants will carry out in vivo mouse experiments, NMJ electrophysiology, cell/tissue validation, immunohistochemistry, 3D confocal and electron microscopy, data analysis with bioinformatics tools, and scientific writing/presentations. The role is designed for a motivated PhD student interested in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, omics, and imaging-based disease research.

Eligibility: applicants should hold an M.Sc. in molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Practical experience with mouse work is preferred; a FELASA certificate is an advantage. Additional experience in histology, qPCR, omics, imaging software (ZEN, Fiji), and statistics is requested. Strong English skills and independent research ability are expected.

Funding and duration: the position is fully funded through a DFG project for 3 years.
