The Magnetic Materials Group (MMG) at
VIT Vellore
is inviting applications for a
Doctoral Researcher / PhD Scholar
to work in
magnetic materials
,
physics
, and
materials science
. The project spans
functional and advanced magnets
such as soft and hard magnetic materials, ferrites, high-entropy alloys, and rare-earth-free permanent magnets.
Research directions include
spintronics
,
magnetocaloric cooling materials
, and
energy storage/conversion
. The role also involves
magnetic property measurements
(VSM, SQUID),
structural characterization
(XRD, FE-SEM, TEM), and
transport/dielectric spectroscopy
.
Eligible applicants should hold an
M.Sc., M.Tech., or M.E.
in
Physics
,
Materials Science
,
Nanoscience
,
Nanotechnology
,
Applied Physics
, or a related field. Strong foundations in
solid-state physics
,
materials chemistry
, or
condensed matter physics
are preferred, and prior experience with magnetic characterization or synthesis techniques is a plus.
