Funding is available for up to 4 years and includes a tax-free stipend of €25,000 per annum, EU tuition fees, and a budget for travel, consumables, and materials. This is a PhD scholarship rather than a postdoctoral or master’s opening.
Eligibility highlights include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least a 2.1 or equivalent in Civil, Structural, or Timber Engineering (or a closely related discipline), plus knowledge of structural design principles, technical report writing, and experimental testing of materials or structures. Strong analytical, communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills are also required.

What's required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with minimum 2.1 grade or equivalent in Civil, Structural or Timber Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent English communication skills (especially report writing and presentation), high attention to detail, strong organisational ability, ability to manage a complex workload and meet deadlines, and excellent interpersonal skills are required.
