The scholarship covers tuition fees and a monthly stipend of RMB 4,500 for up to 36 months, subject to satisfactory progression. In addition, scholars may have the opportunity to undertake teaching or research assistant duties from the second year after completing GTA training.

Eligibility highlights: applicants must first meet the PhD programme entry requirements. The post states a master’s degree with a minimum average score of 65% and Merit or above from a British university, plus a bachelor’s degree at upper second class or above. The Faculty of Science and Engineering may also consider applicants with a first-class bachelor’s degree from a British university or equivalent from other prestigious institutions. English language proficiency is required, and IELTS or an equivalent test score must be submitted by the deadline.
