About this position
A PhD studentship is available at Swansea University for the project Characterisation and Metrology of Next Generation Ultra-Wide Bandgap Semiconductors and Devices. The position begins between October 2026 and January 2027 as part of the first cohort of a new EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in UK Semiconductor Industry Future Skills, led by Swansea University in partnership with the University of Leeds.

The CDT structure provides continuous practical training in semiconductor science, engineering, and technology, with a strong cohort experience and industry-linked skills development.
