The KTH Royal Institute of Technology invites applications for a doctoral student position in Fault Attacks on Post-Quantum Cryptographic Algorithms, funded by the Swedish Research Council. The project will leverage advanced machine learning technologies to analyze and mitigate fault attacks, contributing to the development of new vulnerability assessment methods, countermeasures, and supporting tools for PQC security.
Applicants must meet the admission requirements for postgraduate education, including a second cycle degree (master's) or equivalent, or at least 240 higher education credits (with 60 at second-cycle level). Special eligibility criteria include knowledge of post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, expertise in fault and side-channel attacks, experience with embedded systems, and practical skills in machine learning (including platforms like TensorFlow). Priority is given to candidates with coursework or thesis work in hardware security, and those with publications in high-ranked hardware security journals, conferences, or workshops. English proficiency equivalent to English B/6 is mandatory.
