About this position

Loughborough University London invites applications for a fully funded PhD scholarship within the Inequality, Power, Justice, and Social Inclusion Research and Innovation Hub. This scholarship provides a unique opportunity to join a dynamic interdisciplinary research community committed to addressing real-world challenges through impactful research.

The Inequality, Power, Justice, and Social Inclusion Research and Innovation Hub brings together established and early-career researchers from diverse disciplinary backgrounds, including sociology, political economy, media and communication studies, politics and international relations, sports, development, and social movement studies.

The Hub’s research explores the intersecting dimensions of social, political, and economic inequalities, power relations, and forms of social exclusion across different contexts, while also developing innovative, impact-driven approaches to fostering change.

Proposed projects are not limited to the following topics:

  • Politics of inequalities
  • Political economy of inequality and social inclusion
  • Social movements and social change
  • Geopolitics and global inequalities
  • Geopolitics of the world economy
