Eligibility highlights: a relevant Master’s degree (or equivalent) in cybersecurity, information security, maritime studies, marine technology, risk/safety management, human factors, engineering, or another relevant discipline; a major independent project of at least 30 ECTS; strong grades (B or better on NTNU’s scale preferred); excellent English; and ability to obtain security clearance at CONFIDENTIAL level or higher. Experience with cybersecurity, OT/ICS, maritime systems, human factors, resilience, or mixed research methods is preferred.

What's required

Relevant Master's degree in cybersecurity, information security, maritime studies, marine technology, risk or safety management, human factors, engineering, or another relevant discipline, or equivalent, with a major independent project of at least 30 ECTS equivalent to a master's thesis. Strong academic background with an average grade of B or better on NTNU's scale, or equivalent; weaker backgrounds may be considered if exceptionally suited through relevant work experience and/or peer-reviewed publications. Excellent English presentation skills at C1-C2 level. Must be eligible for security clearance at CONFIDENTIAL level or higher and able to obtain clearance within a reasonable period. Preferred: knowledge or experience in cybersecurity/cyber risk management, operational technology or industrial control systems, maritime systems or operations, human factors or human–machine interaction, safety/security/resilience, relevant qualitative/quantitative/experimental/technical/mixed methods, collaboration with industry or public-sector stakeholders, and oral presentation skills in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.
