What's required

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Genetics, Microbiology, Evolutionary Biology or a related field, or have completed at least 240 higher education credits including at least 60 credits at Master’s level with an independent project worth at least 15 credits, or have equivalent knowledge. Strong interest in basic research in microbiology and bacterial genetics is required. Previous practical experience in cell and molecular microbiology is highly desired, and experience in bacterial genetics is a requirement. Very good oral and written English skills are required. Collaboration, communication, analytical capacity, independence, and initiative are important. Working knowledge of bioinformatics and statistics is a merit.
