About this position
King’s College London is recruiting a PhD student for a project on folate supplementation for neuroprotection in glaucoma at the Wolfson SPaRC (Sensory, Pain and Regeneration Centre) in London, England.
The project is led by the Tribble and Eva labs and focuses on glaucoma, one-carbon metabolism, folate biology, retinal delivery, genetic variants in folate metabolism, and personalised medicine approaches to neuroprotection. The successful candidate will investigate the mechanism of action of folate in the eye and in glaucoma-affected cells, compare folate supplements to improve retinal delivery, and assess how common genetic variants influence these effects.

Eligibility highlights include a bachelor’s degree with at least a 2:1 honours in neuroscience, optometry, or a related subject; a 2:2 may be considered if accompanied by a master’s degree with Merit.
