About this position
ARCNL is advertising a postdoctoral position in physics focused on generating extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light from plasma using a 2µm laser. The project sits at the interface of fundamental physics and industrial application, with relevance to nanolithography and next-generation lithography light sources.
The work is based in ARCNL’s Source Department and its EUV Plasma Processes group. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team of PhD students and postdocs and will design and execute experiments, work with advanced laser technologies, and study the emission of light and ions from plasma generated in the lab.
Research keywords: plasma physics, laser physics, experimental physics, applied physics, EUV light sources, nanolithography.
Eligibility highlights: applicants should have a PhD in (Applied) Physics or be close to obtaining one. Experience in experimental laser and/or plasma physics is an advantage, especially with strong hands-on laboratory skills. Python programming experience is welcomed, and strong English communication skills are required.
Application: the post directs candidates to ARCNL’s website for full details and online application. No deadline is stated in the post.
