About this position

Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Department of Economics, is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow in behavioural and applied economics of food systems in Uppsala, Sweden.

The position sits in the research group Decision-making and Managerial Behaviour and focuses on applied microeconomic research related to decision-making in the food sector and sustainability challenges. The group works with lab and survey experiments, field experiments, randomized controlled trials, scanner/purchase data, observational data, and causal econometric analysis, with research themes spanning consumer behaviour, farmer decision-making, preference elicitation, and institutional settings.

Eligibility: a PhD in economics, agricultural economics, or a closely related field must be completed before the start date. If the PhD is not yet completed at application, the planned public defence date must be stated. The PhD must have been awarded within three years of the start date. Applicants should have strong experience in experimental methods and/or empirical causal analysis, high-quality research output, strong analytical skills, independence, and excellent English.

Employment: temporary employment for 24 months at 100% scope. Teaching may be included up to 20%.
