About this position
Postdoctoral Fellow opportunity at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), Genetics Branch, in Bethesda, United States.
This postdoctoral project is in the Oncogenomics Section and focuses on immunotherapy, immunogenomics, immunology, and translational cancer research for pediatric cancers, especially Ewing sarcoma. The fellow will analyze Ewing sarcoma tumors using short- and long-read RNA sequencing, immunopeptidomics, bioinformatics, and antigen discovery pipelines, with collaboration across CCR cores and JHU partners.
Research topics include EWSR1::FLI1/ERG, PRAME, non-canonical epitopes, peptide-specific T cells, TCR cloning and characterization, MHC restriction, and optimized TCR development. The work also uses single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, and functional assays to support future clinical translation and trials.
Applicants should have a PhD or MD (or equivalent) in immunology or molecular/cell biology, with experience in immunogenomics, immunotherapy, immunobiology, adoptive cell therapies, gene therapy, and genome-editing approaches. Experience with introducing therapeutic genes into cells and targeted gene knockout strategies is required.
The position is full-time, in-person, and available immediately. It is a training position with a starting stipend of $67,200. Application materials requested are a CV/resume, cover letter, summary of research experience, and three references.
