About this position
Postdoctoral opportunity at the University of Basel’s Department of Biomedicine (DBM) in Basel, Switzerland, within the Cancer Neuroimmunology group led by Prof. Karen Dixon.

The position is well suited to researchers with experience in peripheral neural circuits, neuronal tracing, mouse genetics, viral or genetic manipulation of neurons, advanced imaging, or computational analysis of single-cell/spatial datasets.
The DBM is a large, collaborative research environment jointly connected to the University of Basel and University Hospitals Basel, with broad expertise across immunology, neuroscience, cancer biology, single-cell genomics, and advanced imaging. The postdoctoral researcher will join a supportive and international community with access to excellent core facilities and opportunities for collaboration across the Basel research ecosystem.
Applicants must hold a PhD in neuroscience, neuroimmunology, or a related discipline. The post calls for strong motivation, scientific productivity, independence, teamwork, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with complex experimental systems and interdisciplinary research is especially valued, and the lab notes that expertise in tracing, viral methods, mouse genetics, tissue imaging, flow cytometry, single-cell transcriptomics, spatial technologies, or computational analysis would be advantageous.
