About this position
Pengda Liu’s lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to study innate immunity and cancer treatment.
The project focuses on ubiquitin and cGAS/STING signaling pathways, with an emphasis on discovering new regulatory mechanisms that may be translated into cancer therapy. The work is primarily bench-based and will involve integrating data from multiplex omics and sequencing analyses, in vitro biochemical assays, and in vivo genetic screens to generate and validate therapeutic hypotheses.
The successful candidate will also participate in scientific meetings and journal clubs at UNC, and contribute to manuscripts and grant applications.
Eligibility highlights: Ph.D. required; strong background in biochemistry and cell biology; experience with CRISPR and large-scale screening approaches required; experience with animal models and tumor immunology preferred; protein purification and in vitro assay development are advantageous.
How to apply: Send a cover letter, CV, and contact information for 3 referees to [email protected]. More information about the lab is available via the linked research page.
