About this position

Postdoctoral position in biofabrication of functional organoids and liver-on-a-chip at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) / University of Technology of Compiègne, France.

This full-time temporary postdoctoral role is embedded in the APOLLO project (“Automated Platform for Organoids, Liver, and Lab On-Chip”), led by industrial partner Fluigent and funded by the BPI biotherapies and bioproduction programme. The research focuses on developing biological liver-on-a-chip models for evaluating biopharmaceuticals such as antibodies and nanobodies.

The successful candidate will work in the BMBI laboratory (CNRS UMR 7338), within the BioFab research area and on the INGESYSBIO meta-platform. Available facilities include L1/L2 laboratories, microfluidics and microfabrication platforms, histology, immunolabelling, Airyscan confocal microscopy, qPCR, and additive manufacturing equipment.

Research tasks include developing and validating protocols for multicellular liver organoids in microfluidic devices, characterising reconstructed tissue biologically/mechanically/functionally, studying responses to biopharmaceutical exposure, running testing campaigns, drafting reports and publications, supervising Master’s students, and participating in scientific meetings and conferences.

Eligibility highlights: PhD in tissue engineering, bioengineering, or cell biology; experience in cell culture, organoid production, immunolabelling, and PCR; microfluidics is an asset; strong teamwork, project management, and scientific writing skills; fluency in English and basic French.

What's required
