About this position
Stanford University’s Sinha Lab is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for work in immunology, bioinformatics, microbiome/metabolome studies, and multi-omic data analysis.
The lab’s research is centered on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, with additional interest in stricturing Crohn’s disease, metabolic disorders/metabolic syndrome, and primary sclerosing cholangitis. The group uses human studies, clinical samples, novel intestinal sampling approaches, and computational biology to identify diagnostics, biomarkers, microbial/metabolomic/immune signatures, and potential treatment approaches.
Applicants should have a PhD, MD, or equivalent and prior training in relevant areas such as immunology, biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, physiology, or biochemistry. Strong experience in molecular and cell biology, preferably FACS, scRNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and microbiome/metabolome analysis is preferred, along with strong coding skills in Python, R, or MATLAB. A strong publication record is expected.
This is a sponsored postdoctoral position with an expected base pay range of $80,000–$85,000 per year. The appointment term is at least 1 year, with a likely start date around July 1, 2026. Because the funding is through an NIH Training grant, preferred applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
To apply, email a research summary, CV/resume, and three references to [email protected].
