About this position
Postdoctoral position coming soon in neurodegenerative disease research at the University Hospital Bonn in Bonn, Germany.
The project focuses on the pathogenetic mechanisms underlying Parkinson's disease and alpha-synuclein pathology. The work will combine preclinical mouse models, advanced imaging, transcriptomics including single-cell analyses, and molecular/biochemical methods.
Ideal candidates should have a strong background in neuroscience and practical experience with mouse work, in vivo neuroscience experiments, stereotactic surgery or intracerebral injections, confocal microscopy, image analysis, and transcriptomics. Experience in neurodegenerative disease research is especially relevant. Candidates with FELASA B certification and hands-on stereotactic mouse surgery experience are particularly encouraged.
The expected start date is October 2026. The official job advertisement will follow shortly, so this is an early notice rather than a formal application call.
