What's required

Preferred experience includes high-temperature solid-state synthesis and crystal growth, flux synthesis/solution growth, arc melting, vapor transport reactions, powder sintering, hot glass-working and vacuum-sealing glass ampoules, interpreting temperature-composition phase diagrams, strong understanding of magnetism and magnetic materials, measuring magnetization/electrical resistivity/Hall effect/specific heat, operating Quantum Design MPMS and/or PPMS instruments, and analyzing X-ray diffraction data including phase identification and preferably Rietveld refinement. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively, maintain accurate lab records, communicate effectively, and meet milestones.
