About this position
Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School are advertising an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Biomaterials) in the Translational Research Lab within the Department of Cardiology.
The lab is an interdisciplinary team focused on developing biomaterial-based technologies for unmet needs in cardiology and critical care, with an emphasis on translational impact. The project centers on novel material platforms for gas delivery and/or ultrasound imaging applications, with opportunities to contribute to material synthesis, characterization, biological testing, and translational study design.
Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. A strong background in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, or hybrid organic-inorganic materials synthesis is required, along with solid materials characterization skills and a record of research productivity. Experience with colloids and interfacial phenomena, tissue culture, biological assays, animal models, ultrasound imaging, device fabrication, or 3D printing is desirable. Engineers with ultrasound background are also considered.
To apply, email a CV and short cover letter to [email protected]. The post describes an immediate opening and does not list a deadline.
