About this position

Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School are advertising a Postdoctoral Research Fellow opening in the Translational Research Lab within the Department of Cardiology.

The lab is an interdisciplinary group focused on developing biomaterial-based technologies for unmet needs in cardiology and critical care, with a strong translational emphasis. The successful postdoc will work on the development of novel ultrasound contrast agents and imaging techniques for physiological monitoring and/or drug delivery.

Ideal candidates have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field such as Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline. Helpful experience includes ultrasound systems or acoustic physics, ultrasound imaging, MATLAB, ultrasound image reconstruction, signal and image processing, building ultrasound phantoms, working with cells or animals, ultrasound contrast agents or bubble physics, and biomaterials such as lipid/polymeric nanoparticles, emulsions, bubbles, or hydrogels.

This is a research-intensive postdoctoral role in the United States. The post does not specify stipend, duration, or deadline. Interested candidates should email a CV and cover letter to [email protected].
