About this position
The Yeow Laboratory at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore, National University of Singapore, is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow / research fellow to lead mechanistic research in cancer biology and related areas.
Research themes include ubiquitin biology, chromatin and gene regulation, molecular immunology, mitosis, and genome stability. The successful candidate will take intellectual and experimental ownership of a project within the lab’s broader programme, with the exact direction shaped by the applicant’s expertise and strengths.
Applicants should have a PhD, or be close to completing one, in cancer biology, cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, genetics, or a related discipline. The lab is especially interested in candidates with evidence of independent project ownership and strong mechanistic thinking. A first-author or co-first-author original research paper from PhD work is required. Experience with bioinformatics or analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, or imaging datasets would be an advantage.

Candidates should have at least one substantive first-author or co-first-author original research paper from PhD work that is published or accepted. They should show clear intellectual and experimental ownership of a research project, the ability to formulate mechanistic questions and design experiments to distinguish competing hypotheses, and strong experimental, organisational, communication, and collaborative skills. Experience in bioinformatics or analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, or imaging datasets is advantageous.
