About this position

University of Queensland (UQ) is advertising a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Malaria Immunology position at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, based at the St Lucia Campus in Australia.

The project sits in a multidisciplinary, globally connected research environment and focuses on host immune responses to malaria infection using human samples and advanced systems immunology approaches. The successful candidate will work on molecular immunology, multi-parameter flow cytometry, proteomics, bulk and single-cell transcriptomics, integrated multi-omics, computational biology, coding, and data integration to help define immune mechanisms relevant to next-generation therapeutics and vaccine development.

This is a full-time fixed-term postdoctoral role for up to 12 months. The salary range is AUD 106,293.57 to 113,659.72 plus 17% superannuation.

Eligibility highlights: PhD in Immunology and Vaccinology required; strong experience in cellular immunity, human specimens, controlled human infection models, liver-stage immunity, host-pathogen interactions, omics/systems immunology, and R or Python for reproducible analysis. Experience with human in vitro co-culture models and CD8+ T-cell responses is desirable. Applicants should also demonstrate a strong publication record, conference presentations, teamwork, organisation, and project management skills.
