About this position
CEITEC MU in Brno, Czech Republic is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the Non-Coding Genome Research group led by Lukáš Trantírek. The project sits at the intersection of structural biology, biomolecular NMR, biophysics, and nucleic acid chemistry.
The research will focus on developing NMR methodologies to study the conformational landscapes of G-quadruplexes (G4) and i-motifs (iM), non-canonical DNA/RNA structures that are important in telomeres, centromeres, promoter regions, and gene regulation. The work includes ¹⁹F NMR and complementary biophysical assays to investigate structural equilibrium, dynamics, and ligand/peptide interactions in vitro and in cells.
Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent in structural biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field. Strong experience or interest in biomolecular NMR and a solid publication record are expected. Nice-to-have skills include nucleic acid labeling strategies and additional interaction assays such as ITC, MST, or BLI.
The position is full-time and temporary, with an attractive salary, flexible working hours, occasional home office, and access to CEITEC core facilities and high-field NMR instruments. The post also mentions seed funding opportunities and support for applying to grants such as MSCA and EMBO.
Application deadline: 31 October 2026. To apply, submit a CV, publication list, motivation letter, and contact details for at least three references via the online application form. For technical issues, contact HR at [email protected].
