The researcher will contribute to a research program that combines mineralogical and mechanical characterization, rheological measurements, pilot-scale testing, and advanced process simulation. Core tasks include conducting a literature review, designing and implementing characterization protocols for MATs, selecting and sizing an autogenous mill for pilot work, leading lab-scale grinding trials, and supporting numerical modeling of beneficiation circuits using tools such as USIMPAC or similar software. The role also involves analyzing simulation and experimental results, producing technical reports and scientific publications, and coordinating with internal researchers, external laboratories, and industrial partners.

The position is well suited to candidates with a PhD in Mineral Processing, Mining Engineering, Georesources Engineering, or a closely related discipline. A strong background in ore characterization, comminution technologies, and mineral beneficiation is essential. Experience with grinding technology and process simulation software is highly desirable, as is familiarity with phosphate ores and the North African mineral context. The post also requires excellent communication skills in English or French and the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
