The Division of Molecular Skeletal Biology at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for the Cell, Tissue and Organ Engineering group led by Dr. Paul Bourgine. The project focuses on bone biology, regenerative therapies, hydrogels, biomaterials, and tissue engineering, with work on GMP-compatible hydrogel formulation, rheological characterization, injectability testing, clinical-grade packaging, and support for preclinical studies.

This is a full-time, fixed-term postdoctoral position for two years starting 2026-09-15 or by agreement. The work is physically based in Lund, Sweden.

Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent by the employment decision date; priority is given to those who earned the degree within the last three years. Required experience includes biomaterials/hydrogels/tissue engineering, human 2D/3D cell culture, cartilage and bone tissue engineering, rheology or injectability testing, bone microenvironment engineering, and strong English skills. International research experience is required. Merits include first-author publications, human mesenchymal cell culture and differentiation, polymer synthesis, 3D printing/additive manufacturing, GMP/GLP documentation, and animal work.
