About this position

CNRS is advertising a postdoctoral researcher position in cognitive sciences, neurosciences, and psychology for the ANR OrDOTime project. The project focuses on the origins, development, and specificity of ordinal representations of time.

The recruited researcher will design behavioural protocols, collect data from children, adults, and non-human primates, run experiments in schools and in the laboratory, analyse data, interpret results, write scientific articles, and present findings at conferences. The post is embedded in the Centre de Recherche en Psychologie et Neurosciences (CRPN) and the Development and Phylogeny (DéPhy) team.

Work may take place at the AMU Saint-Charles campus, the Rousset-sur-Arc primatology station, in schools in the Marseille area, and remotely. Presence is required for team meetings and during data collection at Rousset-sur-Arc.

Eligibility highlights: PhD or equivalent in neurosciences or psychological sciences; background in cognitive science, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, or ethology; experimental research skills preferred; knowledge of numerical cognition and/or developmental psychology is an advantage; programming and data analysis skills (Python/Java, R/MATLAB) are an advantage; basic French required.

What's required

PhD or equivalent in neurosciences or psychological sciences. A background in cognitive science, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, or ethology is expected. Skills in experimental research are desirable. Knowledge of the scientific literature in numerical cognition and/or developmental psychology is an advantage. Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or Java, and in data analysis tools such as R or MATLAB, is an advantage. Basic French is required.
