About this position

The postdoctoral researcher will work with Professor Dr Janne Fengler on understanding contexts and processes of learning and teaching. The role combines project-related and independent research, support for the professorship, publications, teaching, student and doctoral supervision, third-party funding applications, and academic service.

Research interests mentioned in the call include experiential education / outdoor education, didactics and methodology, teaching-learning-research, university didactics / future skills, pedagogical professionalisation / teacher education, and victimology / social inequality / social exclusion / social participation. The team is described as international and multilingual, and the post involves empirical social research with quantitative and/or qualitative methods, including openness to mixed methods.

Eligibility highlights: an excellent PhD in Educational Sciences; strong interest in educational science issues; fluency in English and either German or French; the other language and/or Luxembourgish is an asset; international publications and/or book publications; teaching experience; project management skills; and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
