About this position
Maria Ibáñez at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join her group near Vienna, Austria.
The project focuses on electronic transport and thermoelectric properties of individual 3D nanocrystal supercrystals and related nanocrystal solids. The successful candidate will help establish measurement approaches for electrical and thermoelectric characterization, including the design of suitable contact geometries, fabrication strategies, and measurement protocols.
Relevant expertise includes electrical transport in semiconductors, microcrystals or nanostructured materials, two- and four-probe measurements, temperature-dependent conductivity, and micro/nanofabrication of contacts such as FIB-based contacting or lithography. Experience separating intrinsic transport from contact and geometry effects is especially important.
Additional valuable experience includes Hall measurements, magnetotransport, Seebeck measurements, quantum-dot solids, nanocrystal solids, superlattices, or mesocrystals.
