About this position
Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) | Epigenetics of Tissue Regeneration at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG), Dresden, Germany.
The Huch group (Meritxell Huch) is seeking a postdoc to study epigenetic regulation and molecular memory during tissue regeneration and disease. The project focuses on how regenerative responses are established and maintained, whether epigenetic states persist after injury, and how chronic damage alters tissue plasticity and regenerative capacity.
Research will combine mouse models, human and mouse organoid/assembloid systems, single-cell multi-omics, epigenetic profiling, genome-wide approaches, and genomic data analysis. The lab works on adult tissue maintenance, regeneration, repair, and disease, with a particular emphasis on the liver and other adult tissues.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Epigenetics, or a related life-science field. Strong experience with molecular/cellular/in vivo methods, independent project execution, analytical thinking, and excellent English communication are required. Experience with ChIP-seq, bulk ATAC-seq, scRNA-seq, and genomic/single-cell data analysis is desirable.

What's required
A PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Epigenetics, or a related life-science field is required. Applicants should have demonstrated experience with molecular, cellular and/or in vivo techniques such as tissue culture, mouse models, FACS, genome-wide approaches or other omics methods. Experience independently planning and executing scientific projects, strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal English communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are expected. Desirable: background in epigenetics and biochemistry, hands-on ChIP-seq, bulk ATAC-seq and/or scRNA-seq, and genomic or single-cell data analysis.
