About this position
Postdoctoral Researcher in Hematopoiesis and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS in Warsaw, Poland.
The Liang Lab (TNFR2 in Human Hematopoiesis) is recruiting one postdoctoral researcher to work on a project investigating the role of tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 (TNFR2) in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The project uses CRISPR-based perturbation, single-cell multi-omics, flow cytometry, human CLL cell lines, experimental mouse models, and primary human samples.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant life science field (e.g. Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Cancer, Biotechnology), have a strong publication record with at least one first-author original research paper, and demonstrate hands-on experience with molecular/cellular methods such as PCR, western blotting, transfection, transduction, cell culture, drug treatment, flow cytometry, and cell sorting. Experience with mice and human primary samples is an advantage. English proficiency is required.
Funding and contract: the position is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (TOP200 NAWA Programme). The appointment is full time, initially for 1 year and renewable for up to 3 additional years depending on performance. Salary is 11,000–12,450 PLN gross per month.

What's required
Applicants must hold a PhD in life science disciplines such as Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Cancer, Biotechnology or equivalent. A strong research interest in hematopoiesis, cancer biology or cancer treatment is required, along with a proven publication record and at least one first-author original research paper. Candidates should have solid experience with molecular and cellular techniques including gene cloning, PCR, western blotting, transfection, transduction, drug treatment, cell culture, flow cytometry and cell sorting. Experience with mice and human primary samples is advantageous. Strong independence, project management, critical thinking, software competency, time management, creative problem-solving, teamwork, communication skills, and proficiency in English are required.
