About this position

The Plant Physiology Laboratory at the AgroBioSciences unit, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Morocco, is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher in molecular plant physiology.

The project sits within a Plant Stress Physiology team and focuses on understanding molecular mechanisms underlying plant physiological responses to environmental stress. The successful candidate will work at the interface of molecular biology, physiology, and omics technologies to investigate regulatory networks in model plants and/or crop plants.

Research activities include designing and executing experiments on plant molecular and physiological processes, using proteomics and metabolomics tools, and analyzing plant phenotypes under controlled and stress conditions. The role also includes presenting results at scientific conferences, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, supporting graduate and undergraduate mentoring, and contributing to grant writing and project development.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Plant Physiology, or a related field. The post calls for a strong molecular biology background, evidence of independent and collaborative working ability, a solid publication record, and familiarity with bioinformatics for transcriptomic or proteomic data analysis. Experience with physiological assays such as photosynthesis measurements, chlorophyll fluorescence, and hormone quantification is preferred.

This is a postdoctoral opportunity at UM6P in Benguerir, Morocco. The deadline is not specified in the posting. Application requires a single PDF including a cover letter describing research experience and motivation, a CV with full publication list, and contact details for three academic referees.
