About this position
Karolinska Institutet is advertising a postdoctoral researcher position in neuroimaging and multi-omics focused on vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia. The work is based in a multidisciplinary research environment studying aging and neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease.
The project combines advanced imaging with multi-omics approaches such as spatial transcriptomics and proteomics, and integrates radiographic, histopathology, clinical, and molecular data. The successful candidate will develop reproducible computational pipelines, support data processing and statistical analyses, contribute to publications and grant applications, and help maintain Linux/HPC-based computational infrastructure.
Eligibility and profile: applicants must have a PhD or equivalent foreign degree by the employment decision date. Strong backgrounds in radiology, neuroscience, computational biology, bioinformatics, or related fields are required, along with experience in imaging analysis (MRI, CT, PET), programming in R and/or Python, large-scale data analysis, Linux/HPC environments, and excellent English communication skills. Experience with multi-omics integration, machine learning, biological visualization, and clinical work in radiology/neurology is considered meritorious.
Location: Huddinge, Sweden (Campus Flemingsberg). Employment: temporary, full-time, monthly salary. Salary is individually set according to collective agreements.
