About this position
Postdoctoral Researcher in Theory of Quantum Computation for Quantum Many-Body Physics at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), Braga, Portugal.
The Novo Research Group is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to work jointly with the Rossier Research Group at INL. The project focuses on quantum computation, quantum simulation, quantum many-body physics, and related quantum information topics, with emphasis on analog quantum algorithms, digital quantum simulation, hybrid quantum-classical methods, and quantum-computing-enhanced sensing.
Research areas/keywords: quantum algorithms, quantum search and optimisation, Hamiltonian evolution, many-body physics, hybrid quantum optimisation, real-hardware testing, photonic quantum computers.
Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Physics, Physical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Required experience includes quantum information and computation, plus knowledge of quantum-computer applications to many-body physics problems. Excellent English is required. Helpful extras include programming skills and experience supervising Master’s or PhD students.
