About this position
The Faculty of Information Technology at the University of Jyväskylä is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher in Quantum Information for the UnloQ project (Unlocking Quantum Computing Benefits). This is a fixed-term, project-based postdoctoral role running from 1 November 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter, until 31 December 2028.
The position is part of the Quantum Information and Computation team led by Professor Teiko Heinosaari. The project focuses on a major challenge in quantum computing: the impact of device noise and disturbance on practical applications. The successful candidate should have a relevant doctoral degree completed before the starting date, a strong record of high-quality scientific research, and deep expertise in quantum theory and quantum information. Prior research experience related to noise and disturbance in quantum information processing is especially relevant.
