About this position

The Meyer Group at Purdue University is hiring two postdoctoral researchers to join the lab in 2027. These are research-focused postdoc openings in two complementary areas: biocatalysis and organic synthesis.

Position 1: Biocatalysis will focus on developing new biocatalytic methods for C–C and C–heteroatom bond formation. The work includes enzyme discovery, library construction, high-throughput screening, and directed evolution. Candidates with experience in protein engineering and/or DNA cloning are preferred.

Position 2: Organic Synthesis will focus on new C–C bond-forming methods, reaction discovery, mechanistic studies, and applications in target-oriented synthesis. Strong preference is given to applicants with experience in synthetic organic methodology and/or natural product total synthesis.

Both positions are funded for 18–24 months. The group notes that successful candidates will have opportunities to lead projects, mentor junior researchers, and help shape the direction of a growing laboratory. The start date is flexible between January and August 2027, and applicants with longer timelines are also encouraged to apply.

To apply, email a CV, a one-page summary of relevant experience, and your anticipated start date to [email protected].
