This is a two-year fixed-term postdoctoral position focused on AI/ML, multimodal representation learning, predictive biology, drug discovery, imaging microscopy, and multi-omics. The work involves developing and validating advanced models for perturbed cellular systems using heterogeneous biological data such as high-content imaging, phenomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics.
The role is based at one of several locations: Cambridge, Massachusetts (preferred), Spring House, Pennsylvania, Beerse, Belgium, or Madrid, Spain. There is no fully remote option.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. The PhD must have been completed within the last 3 years or be expected within the next 6 months. Strong experience in AI/ML for biological applications, deep learning, multimodal modeling, and programming in Python with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow is expected. Solid knowledge of deep-learning architectures including Transformers, CNNs, graph networks, self-supervised learning, and multi-instance learning. Proficiency in Python and AI frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Strong communication skills and ability to present results in a multi-functional setting.
