The fellowship is also intended to provide experience in the German university system and in raising research funding from German government agencies.
Eligibility is targeted at outstanding recent graduates from non-German universities, irrespective of nationality. Applicants should already hold a PhD in finance, have postdoctoral experience at a university, and demonstrate strong alignment with corporate finance research. Additional requirements include excellent econometrics and programming skills (Stata or R), database experience, and English proficiency at C1 level or equivalent.
