Luuk Van Laake, Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology, is recruiting 2 PhD candidates for the newly founded Neuromorphic Mechanics group . The group aims to advance physical control through nonlinear mechanics and dynamics . Two PhD projects are available: 1) Fluid-driven soft robots Focus: fluidic circuits for adaptive soft robots. Relevant topics: soft robotics , design, experiments, modeling, optimization, and reinforcement learning . 2) Microscale physical control Focus: scaling down physical control to the microscale. Relevant topics: microsystems , design, experiments, modeling, optimization, and micro-fabrication .
