About this position

Luuk Van Laake, Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology, is recruiting 2 PhD candidates for the newly founded Neuromorphic Mechanics group.

The group aims to advance physical control through nonlinear mechanics and dynamics. Two PhD projects are available:

1) Fluid-driven soft robots
Focus: fluidic circuits for adaptive soft robots.
Relevant topics: soft robotics, design, experiments, modeling, optimization, and reinforcement learning.

2) Microscale physical control
Focus: scaling down physical control to the microscale.
Relevant topics: microsystems, design, experiments, modeling, optimization, and micro-fabrication.
