Schroeder (Assistant Professor, Department of Engineering) and Dr. Shawn Beaudette (Associate Professor, Department of Kinesiology) at Brock University in Ontario, Canada. The research focuses on wearable technology , biomechanics , and movement-art interventions to support healthy aging and increase physical activity in older adults. The flyer describes a project titled Creativity in Motion: Technology-Enhanced Art Therapy to Motivate Physical Activity in Older Adults , centered on developing and evaluating a wearable movement-to-art technology (WMAT) that converts human motion into real-time music and/or visual art. A strong academic record, interest in interdisciplinary human-centered research, and relevant experience in sensors, motion capture, programming, human-subject research, or creative technologies are preferred. International applicants must meet Canadian study permit and English-language requirements. The positions are fully funded through a mix of graduate fellowships, graduate assistantships, and external grant support for MSc/PhD students, with competitive external grant funding for postdoctoral scholars.
