About this position

Student Scholarship Offer in Artificial Intelligence for Tax Data Analysis at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poland.

The AITAX (AI Tax Advisor) project is developing an advanced AI system for automating the analysis and processing of tax data. The research includes building a semantic repository for tax documents, machine learning methods for embedding-based data representation, semantic search, interpretation summarisation, and chatbot support for defining factual states and generating tax ruling applications. The work also involves modern NLP models, in-context learning, and conversational memory mechanisms.

This is a student scholarship opportunity rather than a staff job. It is open to a bachelor's or master's student, preferably in artificial intelligence, computer science, data engineering, or mathematics. Applicants should have strong English skills, good teamwork ability, and familiarity with AI technologies such as NLP and machine learning. Programming in Python and experience with tools such as PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and Hugging Face Transformers are expected. Basic data analysis or experience with legal data is a plus.

The scholarship is supervised by Dr. habil. Tomasz Kajdanowicz at the Department of Artificial Intelligence. Funding is provided through the European Funds for a Modern Economy (FENG) 2021–2027 Priority 2 / First Team programme. The scholarship amount is 4000 PLN per month for 1 year.

Deadline: 14 September 2026, 12:00 PM (Europe/Warsaw). Location: Wrocław, Poland.

How to apply: Email your application to Marta Hoffman-Homa at [email protected]. Include proof of student status, a CV, and a signed consent form for personal data processing.
