About this position

La Trobe University is offering a joint PhD scholarship with Sheffield Hallam University for candidates interested in research across biomechanics, neuromechanics, sports science, industrial engineering, operations research, economics/finance, supply chain modelling, and quantitative decision support.

The post includes multiple project options, including:

- Neuromechanical Adaptations to Load Carriage Exposure (movement analysis, injury prevention, military training, load carriage biomechanics)

- Crowdfunding Investment Decision Modeling in Green Energy-Powered Cold Supply Chains (agri-food systems, renewable energy investment, quantitative modelling, stakeholder engagement)

- The Speed Transfer Project (sprint training design, team sport performance, strength and conditioning, skill acquisition, performance analysis)

Successful candidates will be enrolled in a PhD at both institutions, spend most of their time at La Trobe University, and typically spend around 12 months at Sheffield Hallam University. The scholarship provides an RTP stipend of $36,000 per annum for up to 3.5 years, an RTP fees offset for up to 4 years, travel support, relocation support, and publication/thesis allowance.
