Key research tasks include building a matrix of quality indicators for risk quantification and prediction, designing and developing an SQI to evaluate and forecast risk scenarios in water distribution systems, and validating the tool in real-world systems using multiple water sources such as desalination, surface water, reservoirs, and groundwater.

Ideal applicants should hold a Master’s degree and have strong preparation in machine learning, data mining, knowledge-based systems, data-driven models, explainable AI, multi-agent systems, decision support systems, and programming (Python, R, Java or similar). Experience with data integration, interoperability, LaTeX, teamwork, and water science is also expected. English C1 is required.

Applicants should have skills or experience in machine learning and data mining, knowledge-based systems, data-driven models, explainable artificial intelligence (XAI), multi-agent systems, decision support systems, Python/R/Java or related programming languages, data integration and interoperability, LaTeX documentation, teamwork, and water science and technology. English proficiency at C1 level is required.
