About this position

The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) Microelectronics group is inviting applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position in Neuromorphic Bioelectronics and Brain–Computer Interfaces, based in Odense, Denmark. The successful candidate will join the NeuroMate project, focusing on the design of CMOS digital neuromorphic processors for EEG-based brain–computer interfaces. This research area combines advanced microelectronics, neural networks, and bioelectronics to develop innovative solutions for interfacing with the human brain.

Applicants should have a strong background in digital IC/VLSI design. Experience or knowledge in neural networks or neuromorphic systems is considered a strong advantage. The position is supervised by Prof. Farshad Moradi (Head of SDU Microelectronics) and Assoc. Prof. Hooman Farkhani (Deputy Head, SDU Microelectronics), both leading experts in the field. The research environment at SDU offers access to state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

The position is a 2-year postdoctoral contract. No further details on funding or salary are provided in the announcement. The application deadline is March 15, 2026. Interested candidates should apply via the official SDU career portal and may contact the supervisors for further information. This opportunity is ideal for researchers with expertise in electrical engineering, computer science, or biomedical engineering, particularly those interested in neuromorphic computing and brain–computer interface technologies.
