About this position

2–3 three-year postdoctoral positions are open at the Department of Political Science, Aarhus University, within the Centre for the Experimental-Philosophical Study of Discrimination (CEPDISC).

The positions are designed for researchers interested in discrimination research, political science, philosophy, social psychology, sociology, law, economics, and related fields. CEPDISC combines philosophical analysis with empirical social science, including political psychology, political behaviour, and experimental methods. Successful candidates will contribute to the centre’s research questions on what discrimination is, why it is objectionable, and the psychological mechanisms behind it.

Applicants should have a PhD degree or be near completion in one of the relevant fields, with strong English communication skills and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team. A background in discrimination research is preferred, especially from an experimental-philosophical, empirical-experimental, or philosophical perspective.

The appointment is full-time and fixed term for three years, with limited teaching duties. Funding support includes competitive salary plus research support for conferences, travel, guest invitations, and original data collection or research assistance.

The deadline is 15 September 2026 at 23:59 CEST. Applications must be submitted through Aarhus University’s recruitment system, and applicants should include a CV, education documents, publication list, up to three publications, and a teaching portfolio.

Institution: Aarhus University, Department of Political Science, Aarhus BSS, Denmark.
