Postdoctoral Researchers in Experimental-Philosophical Study of Discrimination at Aarhus University Aarhus University in Denmark

CEPDISC (Centre for the Experimental-Philosophical Study of Discrimination) at Aarhus University is recruiting 2–3 three-year postdoctoral researchers in an interdisciplinary project on discrimination.

The positions are based in the Department of Political Science at Aarhus BSS in Aarhus, Denmark, and are expected to start on 1 February 2027. The research environment combines philosophical analysis with empirical social science, including political psychology, political behaviour, and experimental methods. Successful candidates will contribute to CEPDISC’s core questions about what discrimination is, why it is morally objectionable, and how it can be counteracted or mitigated.

Applicants should have a PhD degree, or be near completion of a PhD, in political science, philosophy, social psychology, sociology, law, economics, or a related field. A strong interest in discrimination research is essential, ideally from an experimental-philosophical perspective or from either an empirical-experimental or philosophical perspective. Strong English communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines are required.

The positions are full-time, fixed-term academic research appointments with limited teaching duties, leaving substantial time for research. The centre offers a collaborative and supportive environment, with opportunities for mentoring, academic networking, and development of an independent research agenda. Funding is available for travel, guest invitations, original data collection, and research assistance.
