About this position
UCSF Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy & Sleep Medicine is advertising a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) position in the research program of Dr. Laurence Huang, Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and Chief of the HIV/AIDS Chest Clinic at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.
This is a full-time (100% FTE) NIH-funded clinical-translational research role starting June 2026. The CRC will join a team working on 2–5 NIH studies focused on HIV-associated lung disease, including longitudinal cohorts in San Francisco, California and Kampala, Uganda. The position includes comprehensive benefits such as medical and dental coverage.
Ideal candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, be patient-focused, have substantial laboratory experience, and be willing to commit to a two-year term. The post highlights opportunities for clinical shadowing, conference participation, travel to Uganda, and leadership of research sub-studies, with the possibility of a first-authored peer-reviewed manuscript for strong performers.
This is a strong opportunity for applicants interested in medicine, clinical research, pulmonary medicine, and HIV-related translational research. Applications should be submitted by emailing a brief cover letter and CV to Dr. Huang and completing the online UCSF BrassRing application (Req ID: 87694BR).
